I've got a Mitsubishi direct view tv that is having color problems. After searching the web, it seems that this is an extremely common problem with my particular model, and the fix is always the same:
Either Ic6f01 or Ic6h01 needs to be replaced. They are both An5862k Change'm both for good measure as the
original seem prone to failing unless the diode mod is installed.
I opened up my TV and found these two parts. It looks like I could just yank them out and solder in some new ones. I found the parts online for $3 each. That would be a lot cheaper than paying a TV repair shop.
In case it isn't painfully obvious, I know absolutely nothing about TV repair. So just how bad of an idea would it be for me to attempt the repair myself? I'm fully prepared to be called an idiot for even considering doing it myself.![]()
