Cheap SVS = a used 25-31CS, around $275 shipped. Still need an amp, though.

For $250 shipped, try one or TWO of the DLS subs from Parts Express, or the Sony 12"er ...SA-WM40?

The DLS is the hot ticket lately, $99 each before shipping.
