    Sound

I have heard it somewhere but I cannot remember. Movie soundtrack or maybe a song or something else? The horns playing is what I am looking at - three main beats. I thought it might be Kill Bill, but I cannot find it there.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Oh and let me clarify that I got this off a rap song, but I know it was lifted from something else.

The link isn't working for me in either Firefox or IE. (And frankly the URL looks a little funky, like something that makes sense to your local DNS table but is not really a universal resource locator.)

OK, that's weird It works when I click on my link, which is full spelled out, but not when I click on the word "Sound" in your post - which connects to exactly the same link. Huh?

In any case I've now heard that tiny clip and have no idea where it might have come from - or even which part you think was sample and which part "is" the song.

    Regards,

    Joe

Interesting. I was able to get it with another non-networked computer - Same looking link I use for all my online sharing.

Can anyone else chime in and let me know that you can actually listen to it.

    Thanks for the help.

    Original link worked for me.

I agree is sounds like it's from the Kill Bill.

Have you listened to the actual song or just listened for it in the movie? It might be from a part of the song edited out, and it could also have been sped up to fit the tempo of the rap track.

I couldn't name that tune in three notes either. [IMG]

If you know the name of the rap song and artist, try searching for it and keyword 'samples'. There may be an article out there listing the samples used in this song; I've tried it before for other songs successfully.

    Good luck.

I think this particular sample has already been solved, but for future reference, a good resource for discovering which samples have been used in rap songs is http://www.the-breaks.com
