On white scenes or a scene with clouds, there is a yellow spot or blob at the top center of my screen. I have cleaned the projector and air filter twice. The yellow spot still remains. This spot doesn't appear on dark scenes nor on the blue Sanyo countdown or initialization screen. I called Sanyo and a tech said it's dust. I called back and left a message on tech supports answering machine but no one called me back. I can tell you this, my next projector won't be a Sanyo. It will probably be a NEC dlp. Another guy on a home theater forum sounded like he had the same problem that I have. I think it was his blue lcd panel. My projector has a few more months of warranty. Here's a picture of the yellow blob that my projector shows: http://pcdoctor01.tripod.com/temp/yellowspot.htm Here's a picture of what my screen looks like when it's defocused: http://pcdoctor01.tripod.com/temp/defocus.htm My cheap digital camera doesn't always take good pictures but on the picture with the projector defocused, the artifacts onscreen are red. So, does anyone have a clue to what my problem is? Is it dust or a bad lcd panel? When I spoke with Sanyo tech support they said there is a charge to clean the dust out of a projector whether it's in warranty or not. Anyone with a Sanyo lcd in the United States, does Sanyo charge for in warranty projectors for cleaning dust out of the projector? Thanks!
