    I'm looking for a 6.1/7.1 set up for around £500 - £600
    I have a 5 metre square room.
They'll be mostly used for movies and a little music.

As a start, I'd go straight to your nearest Richer Sounds and ask for some advice. They have always been helpful to me, have some absolute bargains on at the moment, and you could book a demo room and actually hear some stuff. Personally, I'm a fan of anything Celestion - they do a nice bundle of F2 mains with smaller rears and a centre quite reasonably, although you might want to see if they would let you upgrade the F2s to F3s; on your budget you'd afford it. Mine match reasonably with my Paradigm sub if you have room for one, but go down far enough its not the end of the world in a small room.
edit - goodness knows where I got the idea of a small room from. Add a Paradigm PDR-1000 to your list now.

    Hi Danny,
For that budget, I'm thinking that you might be better off buying a better quality 5.1 set of speakers, with the thoughts to maybe adding a further 1 2 matching speakers at a later date.
The nearest specialist shop I know of is Action Gate Audio in Wrexham (01978) 364500. I've never dealt with them, so I don't know what they're like, but I'm sure they could help. Otherwise, yes Richer Sounds might be able to sort you out with something.
Adding a bit to what Iain said; you MUST audition any speakers you are interested in, if possible in teh room you're going to install them in.
    Richard
