Can 2 different guages of speaker wire be connected to my receiver? (1 Viewer)

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum to ask this question but here goes. I'm upgrading my speakers and I was wondering if I can use 2 different guage speak wires as the lengths of the runs are different for my front/center compared with my surounds. My fronts and center length requirements are about 15 feet, so I was thinking 14g; my rears are 40 - 50 feet runs each, so I was thinking 12g for them. Is this OK? Would my reciever (Sony ES30) get damaged if I use 2 different speaker wire guages? Thanks JEFF

it won't damage your receiver. you could always just make it all 12 gauge and pick up a spool of the stuff.
