    A remake of Fantastic Voyage.
So the good news is that - if there MUST be a remake to this scifi classic - they got a good director.
The bad news is that it's yet another remake. [IMG]
You can see the full report here.
I'll bitch and moan...but I'll be first in line to see it! [IMG]

It wouldn't be the first time though. True lies was also a remake, but although I haven't seen the original, I thought that turned out great.

What modern-day actress could possibly compare to Raquel? The project is doomed from the start! They might as well have cast Adam Sandler in the Donald Pleasence role... [IMG]

The only positive thing about this is that Dean Devlin is not going to be involved with it.

The remake thing is really getting out of hand. At least Cameron is involved with this but I still would rather see him tackle new material. Leave the remakes to the hacks.

Well I'm glad to see Cameron directing feature films again. I think this could be a great remake, as far as those go. But I'd love to see something come of all that Mars stuff he was working on. I thought he had planned to do a miniseries and IMAX feature on a manned mission to Mars, but I guess that fell through [IMG]

This is laughable. Not that Cameron's doing a remake, remember he almost did the remake of Planet Of The Apes, but this is a false rumour.

    I mean come on.

Every so called "cameron's next directing project" (I have lost account of them a long time ago) have turned out to be a false rumour and this is NOT cameron territory, I can tell you that.

It's just a cover for his real project which he have developed for years and probably several years to come.

Cameron is working on something but this is not it.

Maybe Cameron will put great care and attention to detail as he did with Titanic and then allow the studio to release a non-anamorphic DVD as he did with Titanic. [IMG]
