I have a 19" Sony Trinitron computer monitor and realized my video driver has most of the same basic settings (brightness, contrast, hue, saturation) as my Sony widescreen XBR. So shouldn't it be possible to perform a basic calibration of a computer monitor using one of the calibration DVDs (AVIA, Video Essentials) just as one would with their CRT-based television ? Assuming, of course, that you have a DVD drive with your computer. Has anyone tried this with any success ?

    Greetings

Yes you can calibrate it but note that computers are not held to NTSC standards for image presentation.
