Anyone know of a link/site that might explain this in detail?

    TIA,

Buy the Video Essentials or Avia DVDs. They lead you through proper calibration. If you do a search in the hardware forums, you should be able to turn up plenty of info on it here.

Okay, got the AVIA & watched through the intro. I think I understand how to do it.

    1. mount my RS SPL meter on a tripod at where I sit

    2. set my volume so it reads 0dB on the display of my Marantz receiver

    3. set the RS SPL meter @ 80dB, C, SLOW

    4. when the tone starts adjust each speaker viaa my receiver's remote so the needle reads +5dB on my RS SPL meter

    Is above about right?

    TIA,
