Hey Guys,
Definately plenty of info on this forum, but what I havnt been able to find in browsing it all and searching is how they calculate the driver displacement, ie how adire says the Tempest displaces over 2.5L of swept volume, Tumult 5L etc. From what I've seen it may be xmax x Sd? Then converted to Litres somehow? Or someone mentioned Vd somewhere. I'm confused, any help would be appreciated.

Hi there Dan,

Yes, Vd (Volume displaced) is simply the surface area times the peak to peak linear displacement (Sd * Xmax * 2)

So, for Shiva, for instance, this is 481*1.58*2=1519 cm^3 = 1.5 litres.

For Tumult, this is 749*3.4*2 = 5093 cm^3 = 5.1 litres.

Hope this helps.
