I am building a HT in the house I am building with my wife to be.

My playback devices will be a dvd player, commercial television vis the standard RF in, and a 'cable' service (Foxtel for those is Aust).

When you sign up for the new Foxtel 'digital' service (yes, we have only just got digital) they give you a little black box that collects the signal and passes it on to the TV via a SCART connection.

How can I pass that SCART connections to the component IN on my projector (assuming the projector has Component IN or whatever the projector accepts, if it is not SCART).

Also, I would like to direct the cable signal to other rooms in the house. I have seen that I can get a SCART splitter box. 1 in 3 out. My question then is how far could this signal be directed? And (like my first question) can the SCART signal be passed in a device that does not have scart IN? How 'convertable' are these signals?
