cables running to an amp

    What type of cables should i get to run from my receiver to my amp???? Will normal audio cables work or do i need special cables??? going from a Yamaha 3000 to a parasound 855a.

    a normal audio cable will work just fine.

    By "normal audio cables" we typically mean decently constructed cables--not the el cheapo patch cables that often come with components.

    Inexpensive decently constructed cables include Radio Shack Gold Series, Acoustic Research Pro, etc. You can find quite a number of threads on this topic if you're interested. Just search the forum for "Radio Shack Acoustic Research" and you should get a bunch of hits with discussions and alternatives.

    oops...sorry for not pointing that out in my original post. i've become so accustomed to expecting that everyone uses decently constructed cables that i forgot to mention it.
