I am quite new to HT and was just about to order a system (Onkyo HT-S755DVC Home Theater System) and was wondering what cables i will have to buy for this system????...i will be hooking up my computer (s-video) and optical which i already have, the dvd changer (s-video), vcr (composite, a turntable and cable TV. What type of cables will i have to buy to get everything working with those types of connections (how many of each). thanks

If you plan on running everything to the receiver, then you'll need:

1 S-Video for Computer to Receiver
1 S-Video for DVD to Receiver
1 Your optical connection (or a coax) between the the DVD and receiver for audio
1 Composite (red,yellow,white)for VCR to Receiver (including video)
1 Composite (red/white) for Turntable to Receiver
Cable TV is up to you

And finally, I'm guessing you'll use S-Video to go from receiver to TV
