Help! My home theater system is severely impacted by poor cable connections. I want to solve this once and for all. I need to bring the cable line into the house and split 3-4 times for various units spread throughout the house. Are there any guides on this website for making
these connections?

I have no issues with the rest of my HT system it's just a problem with the cable signal.

If a professional was to install my cable, what equipment would they buy to make the physical connections?

Compression fitting F-connectors and compression tool. Also get a coax stripper. It turns the stipping from a 30 minute ordeal to get correct to a 5 second breeze.

How do you know it is the connectors? Has the cable company tested the signal coming into the house and shown you that it is adequate strength?

Yeah, watch out for too many splits. Probably not "proper cable protocol," but I did a two-way split and sent one of those feeds to the location I cared the most about and wanted the best-quality signal - the main system. The other feed I split again and send those to the places I cared less about - the bedrooms.
