C.E.S. show in N.Y???? (1 Viewer)

I understand this show is in January in N.Y.C.I'm getting my Xmas bonus and was trying to decide on which $1000-$1500 receiver to buy around boxing day.Is it worth waiting a few months to see what is new and improved from the show? I could probably hold out until May,if this helps me get a more current product.But if the new items don't come out until the fall,I'm not going to wait that long.Any suugestions.Thanx Wayne.

CES is in Las Vegas, not NYC.
As for when to buy, with the increasingly digital nature of our playback systems, the products are obsolete shortly after we buy them

I'm sure I saw a ad in Home theater mag. about some type of show that was in the N.Y Hilton.I'm at work now,shhhhhh,but I'll try to find it tonight and post it in the morning.
