The Marni Nixon story-and-songs album was included in last year's seven record "Mary Poppins: The 60th Anniversary Collection." No CDs or downloads -- vinyl only. Retail price: $299.98.

I don’t see the Story and Songs version listed as being included in the set via the website you linked. I do see that the Mary Poppins album that used the Nixon/Lee tracks that is included in the set features a cover of an illustration of Mary Poppins operating a merry-go-round with Jane and Michael riding the horses.

Correct. The title is "10 Songs From Walt Disney's Mary Poppins."

I have a copy of the Monaural LP which was given to me one Christmas (along with several LPs including the OST for Doctor Zhivago) by an uncle who sadly passed away some years ago. However, I hardly ever listen to the LP anymore, especially after acquiring the Super Deluxe Edition of the score a little over a year ago (which includes a remastered version of the OST as well as the complete score and then some).

Nearly complete, due to the because the absent of the Music & Effects Track of "My Favorite Things" [Reprise] which can be found in the "Robert Wise Commentary/M&E" (2005/2010 variant sound the best, IMO)

I can hardly wait to assemble a "Composer's Original [Unedited] Score" of TSOM to do experiments when the 4K UHD comes along…

I'm not sure what you are saying in your first paragraph. What is missing from the Super Deluxe Edition?

TSOM 101?

An Instrumental Version of "My Favorite Things (Reprise)" as Mike Matessino told me via FSM:
"There is no orchestral version of "My Favorite Things (Reprise)" because the tracks did not exist in a way that could be presented. On the video releases, it's a Music & Effects track."

Refresh my memory - where does the instrumental version of "My Favorite Things (Reprise)" play within the film proper?

It doesn’t, only the version with vocals is heard in the film (the SDE was the first time it appeared on a soundtrack album from the masters, previous editions took it directly from the composite mix). When I mentioned the SDE having the complete score, I was referring to the songs and underscore as it was intended to be used in the film. I consider the instrumentals for the songs as bonus tracks, which along with the playback tracks, was what I meant by “and then some.”

Thanks for the clarification. I appreciate it.

Yes, thanks for the clarification. Apparently there is no music only track for the My Favorite Things tag either (when Maria is examining the curtains).
