Not that it's any of my business how people choose to spend their money, but if you're at a point where you can't afford internet, buying movies should be the least of your worries.
I get what you're saying, but I don't think that's what Dave meant. He meant given these two options, when finances are stable:
  1. Subscribe to streaming services, or
  2. Buying disc media
If suddenly a change happens in his financial status and he has to cut internet, if he had historically chosen option 2, he can still watch those movies to his heart's content, vs if he has only chosen option 1, he's S.O.L.

Well I'm going to order the 3D version even though I was underwhelmed and watch the 4k version on Disney+ whenever it arrives. I think I would have preferred the Treverrow version but as my daughter pointed out to me, we don't even know if the stuff that's floating around concerning Duel of the Fates is genuine or not.

Did not say I had that issue right now but more of in the future thing. When you get older and get to the point of retirement things have a tendency of getting very tight financially.

Bottom line this set’s price is making many fans say no to it.

I’ll pick up rogue one and wait out the rest.

solo dropped down to $20 the other day then went back up to $28....

Here's a question maybe someone here can answer: Will the Skywalker Saga box set with all 9 films contain the same discs (UHD and blu-ray) as the individual TROS release? Seems like it should, but I'm not sure.
They're the same. The discs in the individual releases are the same as the ones in the box set (3 discs x 9 movies= 27 discs).

Keep in mind that Target's exclusive also has a bonus featurette.

Disney movie club may be a good option?

I’m looking into it and have contacted them via email.

Trevorrow verified the concept art was real.

I caved in, as I always do, and preordered the massive BestBuy exclusive Boxed set.

I originally indicated store pickup.

However, with the coronavirus situation, I really don't want to be standing in line at the store to pick up this title and risk exposure.

I can change the pickup to shipping with no issue on the website.

However, if I get a damaged box, will BestBuy exchange it unopened?

I can't answer that, but I will say that everything I have ordered from Best Buy is usually very well packed (unlike Amazon) and I have never had any issues with boxes being damaged.

I ordered it too (shipping option) and am not anticipating any problems.

It happened to me a couple of years ago, and I was able to return the damaged disc (the outer box, actually) with no hassle. Just an annoying delay.

Thanks Dick and Sam!

Sounds like there shouldn't be box damage and if there is, BB will take care of it.

Just don't want to risk standing in line with coughing Star Wars fans. :)

Go Ron!

I really wanted to get Star Wars but I decided to buy an Apple 4k TV yesterday instead.

Star Wars will have to wait for me. I have Disney+ and have watched many of the films so far. They look amazing.

Osato,

Big congrats to you! Given Star Wars set or Apple TV, you made the right choice. Now you can really enjoy digital on what I think is the best device for watching it.

I'm thinking of buying the 9-Movie collection on Vudu for $99, but I'll probably hold off since I can't play them in 4K on Apple TV except with the Vudu app.

My problem with that is I really don't like Vudu.

I like all my purchases to be in one place. iTunes is my chosen place.

It is a tempting price, though, Robert.

I just thought of something...

For those buying the mega disc set with digital codes, those code redemptions will only show up in Vudu?

They won't show up in 4K on iTunes! Just in HD.
