Why not a collectors edition THX certified Laserdisc?
It might suit a friend of mine who rubbished DVD when it first came out, saying VHS was good enough. So, this drops at midnight on a Saturday and it's a real head-scratcher...
There were plenty of people who referred to their VCRs as "The VHS." I encountered them frequently when I worked at Blockbuster Video, and it used to drive me a little nuts. You kids today. Growing up nobody called them that. They were VCRs!
Once Beta was dead, there was no need to differentiate so I only heard VCR.There were plenty of people who referred to their VCRs as "The VHS." I encountered them frequently when I worked at Blockbuster Video, and it used to drive me a little nuts.
Don’t you miss when a part of a song was on track one and it would quickly fade out, and you would hear KACHUNK and it would quickly fade in on track 2. Especially if it was the hit song. How about releasing the original motion picture soundtrack as an 8-track tape so I can finally switch out my Conway Twitty and Foghat cassettes?
I did actually have "Star Wars" and "Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk" by MECO on 8-track! Gotta love the weird edits (to make the songs fit properly), the eerie cross-talk, and not-at-all-startling program changes on those things... KA-CHUNK!
Almost as much as I miss when a movie would stop, and I'd have to stand up and walk across the room to flip the LaserDisc once or twice an hour.Don’t you miss when a part of a song was on track one and it would quickly fade out, and you would hear KACHUNK and it would quickly fade in on track 2. Yeah, I'm guessing you weren't ever going to be buying this in the first place, if that's the reason that is keeping you from getting it.Yeah, I won't be buying this for that reason. Revisionism is revisionism. (Was the VHS tape "fixed" too?)
