I realize that it is the 21st Century, and while I do buy tennis headbands, and shoes, and other items on line, I am skeptical about buying electronics on line.

I am looking for a Sony KDL40s2000, and there are many places on line that sell it cheaper than what I can get it for here in Florida.
But, they will not take them back if they are damaged or defective. Yes, I can refuse delivery if I inspect it, but how much time do I have to inspect, plug it in and set it up to see if it works properly with the delivery man standing at the door?

What is the best way to take advantage of these on-line prices, but not get "screwed" out of $1700 plus $200 for shipping.

    Any recommendations?

You need to search for a dealer with a better return policy than that.
