I have a optima HD25E, for last 6 years works good

Now doing new home, want a 10' wide ceiling drop screen, lots to pick from
the room is 14' wide and 28' long | Ceiling height is 10'

Screen Sugestions?

I know the HD25 had set focal length if about 15' due to room depth

Now with this long room how far from the screen do I calculate distance to ceiling mount?

want to prewire electric in ceiling

What projectors should be on my short list?

Non gaming

Bob,

Do you have a budget in mind? You're looking for a 138" screen, so that will cost you about $1000 give or take, depending on your goals. A fixed frame screen would be superior, but I assume that won't work in this case.

Will the room be fully light controlled? Do you primarily watch movies or TV, and how important are black levels?

$1,000 is about right, there will be some light in the evening but the fully controlled

Not sure about black levels or what that means???

movies/TV about 60% TV
