Buying a Rptv this week... (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone I am planing on buying the panasonic PT-53wx53 Hd ready tv this week at Best Buy. I've been deciding between this tv and the Toshiba or Sony model. I have heard that the Toshiba models have problems and I feel that Sony is a little over priced. Do you guys think I am making a good decison for my first rptv or what. Thanks

well..... considering the fact that i just brought a 53wx53 home yesterday, i say go with the panny! got them to price match the costco next door, so with the money coming back to me on the little 10 dollar buying card i picked up, i spent the same for the 53 as i would have on the 47.

looks great right out of the box, but after dropping the color, brightness, picture and sharpness controls down to reasonable values, it looks wonderful!

Panny is a good set, might have better PQ than toshiba after tweaking.
