I had something go wrong with my order so I went to TRU today and bought Devil May Cry, Spy Hunter, and Ace Combat 4.....Amazon shipped out Tekken Tag Tournament and charged me full price. But I went back on their page and got Capcom vs. SNK 2, MGS2, and what else I don't know......I plan to go buy GTA3 tomorrow or Saturday if I can find it as both TRUs were out as was KB, Software ETC.....damn that sucked.

How long does it take Amazon to ship? I chose "ship as available" and ordered GTA3, but it still hasn't shipped. I fear the worst - the last order I placed there took 4 weeks to arrive, and it was an in stock catalog DVD (Groundhog's Day).

Thanks for the tip guys. I've never dealt with Amazon before so I didn't know how they handled game orders with different release dates and CC charges. I already have MSG 2 preordered at my local EB so I used this deal to preorder Soul Reaver 2(11/5) and NBA Live 2002(11/2). DMC and GTA3 were out of stock so I went with Madden 2002. I own NCAA 2002 and love it so Madden shouldn't be any different. My total came out to $94.47. November is gonna be a very intense month for videogames.

Does anyone know when does offer expires from Amazon? I wanted to order DMC, but it is currently out of stock. The odd thing is that Amazon will not allow you to order an out of stock item. Is ther anyway to get around this? I really wanted to purchase DMC as part of the buy 2 get 1 free promotion. Please advise.
Thanks,
Rob

Peeps,
I seriously doubt that this will be ever done again.
So...trust me - the sooner,the better.
Time on this ends this weekend :)

I just pre-ordered Metal Gear Solid 2, Half Life, and NBA Live 2002 for $98 and change.
Bought Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto 3, and NHL 2002 earlier this week for $107 and change.
Insane indeed.
Thanks to everyone who posted the codes.

By the way at least in my area--Boston--this is definitely not a brick-and-morter sale...Toys R Us had no idea what I was talking about, didn't even have a clue about the online sale...

Has anyone gotten their order to ship yet???
I placed mine the 23rd and the games are still sitting there. GTA3 is still listed 1 to be released Oct 25th. The other 2 games are listed as availability 1 on hand. This is exactly why I hate ordering from Amazon. If it were ebgames or outpost it would have shipped on the 25th and I would have had it by now. But oh well, it was a good coupon I'll just have to wait longer.

That's when I ordered also (10/23). GTA3 is now listed as out of stock, so maybe they sold out. Of course, a decent etailer would have notified the customer of this.

I looked at the Orders section of Amazon (or "Where's My Stuff?" or whatever they call it) and it seemed to me that, until your first item ships, you can change that option. You can change from "Ship all at once" to "Ship as available", and they'll ship any items flagged as in stock. But you'll probably have to pay extra shipping with that option.

I ordered 4 items. 3 games and a book. I marked the entire order as ship when everything is instock. I just got an email saying they shipped the book, but not the games even though the games are instock. So now I'm having to pay $6 shipping on a small book and I'll have to pay shipping on the 3 games also even though I selected not to have it all shipped this way. This pushed the price over what I was originally quoted. Can they do that?
I sent them off an email expressing how "upset" I was that they didn't obey my order.

On my order, for three pre-order games (NBA Live 2002, Half Life, and MGS2), I initially selected "ship as all products are available", because that was the cheapest way to do it.
I checked to see how much it would be if they shipped as each item became available, and it was only an extra three bucks total, so that's what I did. That'll give me a couple of weeks to tinker around with Half Life and NBA Live until Metal Gear shows up in the middle of November along with GameCube and Star Wars. . .

Unless something has changed, this isn't true. When I've had orders split-ship after choosing "ship it all at once", they've never charged me any more for the followup shipments...
