Hello, I'm Dustin and I'll be representing ButtKicker in your Forums! There will be another user from ButtKicker (username=ButtKickerTech) that will try and answer all of your technical questions, but if anyone has any general questions, feel free to ask! I look forward to posting in the forums and helping anyone out that needs it.
Welcome to our team. Talk about perfect timing! I almost bought your product this week. But I wanted to see how much my price would be if I would buy it through you. I have "Motionworks" by Berkline (Vegas) style 3 seating home theater set up. So how does that work. I need one amp, right? And 3 kits for my Berkling seating. Is that it? Or am I missing something. What would be the cost of the entire Buttkicker set up? Thanks Dustin.
In order to make sure you get the correct product for the installation i will need to verify the model number of Berkline motion works chairs you have. I am attaching a link with model numbers of chairs & a base dimension measurement for installation accuracy. After i know which model of chair you have we can proceed with pricing information. The model number should be labeled on a tag located on your chair..
I've been using the LFE kit for years, probably the biggest improvement to a HT that $300 can buy. I'll also mention that Buttkicker customer service is exemplary...had a problem with my amp and they sent out a new one immediately, along with a UPS label to send the old one back with. Painless!
Sorry for the late reply. I've been out traveling like crazy. Thanks for your reply. The only model number I that I could find on the box was: 949222. The name of the 3 piece set is "3 Piece Home Theater Vegas Group". By Berkline. I got this set about 2 years ago at Costco. Hope this helps. The place that I am buying this from is charging me 1 BK LFE Kit @ $599 + 2 BK LFE @ $500. Does that make sense to you? I did tell them that I wanted all 3 chairs to have their sepperate LFE kit. Please advise if this is correct, and what would me savings be if I would buy it through you? Thanks Joe.
I just got my Buttkicker set up...fun. I have it attached to a two-person loveseat couch. Any suggestions for the settings? I've been experimenting with the levels, I have to admit my first setting was watching Jumper and when he teleported, I was almost thrown off the couch.
I like the rumble during big moments (explosions and such) but not with music and other smaller moments. Any suggestions?
Most stereo receivers have a designated subwoofer out channel on the back of the receiver that is made specifically for the subwoofer and has high/low cut offs of it's own already in place. So adjusting the high/low cut offs on the ButtKicker amplifier is not necessary unless you want your ButtKicker to work on different frequency than your subwoofer. In that case you can adjust the frequency knob that is on the front of your amplifier. There is no set standard for where to have the frequency knob set. But as far as where to have it set to is customer preference.
