He seems to be a pretty tough guy, yeah.... I remember the shootout he was involved in in fall of 1999, here in Tucson, it was rather freaky.

A man started firing a gun at a woman, after he had hit her car in an intersection. Carmona, who was off-duty, drove by and stopped to help the woman, instead he was shot at also. He pulled out his own gun and shot and killed the man. When the man was identified, they found his father dead in his home, and it turned out that the guy had killed his father.
