    Hello all,
I'm sorry if this has been hashed over prior, The search here is not always available due to server load.
I am very new to DVD burning, My CD collection has grown out of control, Now with my addiction to SACD + DVD-A music I need a way to archive red-book CD onto DVD, I plan to get one of the new Sony SACD-DVD changers late 03 when they become available.
But still with only 400 disc capacity, I will have 5x media that will be left out of the player, not including my movie dvd's.
So I would like to group up many by artist red-book cd's onto DVD's and just play them from DVD.
Is there a way to burn red-book CD audio to a DVD blank?
    I have the NEC ND-1000A DVD +r +rw drive.
Is this possible in a non-MP3?
If so, How and with what software?
Any help would be very appreciated.
    Jerry

How can some DVDs, like the Eagles: HFO have a PCM track? Can't you just burn it like they put it on their DVD?

It's a surprisingly complicated process. Have a look on Doom9 or DVDrGHelp.com. They have a lot of walk-through guides on how to do stuff and it doesn't take long before it starts getting complicated.

I think to author a very basic DVD doesn't take too much effort, but to get something even resembling a professionally produced disc you're talking lots of learning and money (the software is not aimed at home users!).

    Buzz,
    Thank you for the information.
I have'nt done much investigating on the new Sony line of
SACD-DVD jukeboxes due out this summer, If I remember correct they will support mp3, At this time to save player space mp3 looks like it. I could always use my current transports for serious listening sessions with the original disc's.
Who knows, just maybe someone will come out with a new automated software that will take advantage of the extra storage available on the dvd.
    Thanks again. [IMG]
