builging first home theatre, need help!!! (1 Viewer)

I recently baught 36" Tau with a panasonic rv-31 DVD player. I also have a Kenwood 303 8" 100w powered sub. My room is 11x14x8, I need a receiver and 5 speakers for around 1500-2000$ canadian. I'm new at this, and brand names that come to mid are yamaha axiom polk and energy.

Could use help finding a nice receiver-speaker combo!!

Should I consider a HT in a box?

Not really what you were looking for in an answer, but I must ask you: how do you like that Panasonic TV? Pros/Cons? Is it the 36" flat screen? I was looking into getting that one.

I love my Tau. Great clear picture, bright colours and packed with features. Was considering sony vaga, but I am happy with my decision. I would recomend this tv to anyone.

I'd look at getting all Paradigm stuff for the speakers and sub. PW-2200, Titan fronts, CC-370 center, and Titan rears. For the receiver, an Onkyo TX-DS595 or Denon AVR-1802 should suffice for your needs.
