I'm building an enclosed sub enclosure for my home theater. I'm using an ID Max 12D4 V.3 as the speaker and want to use a Bash 300W Digital Subwoofer Amplifier to power it. My problem is that the amp is a 4 ohm amp, and the sub can be wired to either 2 ohms or 8 ohms. Does anyone know if the amp will be able to handle a 2 ohm load? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are no plate amps on the market right now that will handle a 2 ohm load. The IDMax is a very capable driver so depending on your enclosure design, a pro amp may work better. In fact, there are a couple of Behringer amps in the For Sale section that may work.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into the pro-amps.

You can wire the sub for 8 ohm, run it on the 4 ohm amp, and lose only 3 dB sound pressure level. Hardly noticeable.
