Building a Sonotub, need info... (1 Viewer)

I am bulding a sonotub with a 12" Shiva driver, some thing very similar in design to the SVS 16-46(I have a base plate), and I was wondering what is the height I need to have between my driver cap, and my base plate(I will have 3 smalls wood feets)

So can someone with a SVS 16-46 tell me what is the height of the feet bettwen the 2 plates? or what is you height on your DIY sub with a base plate?

Adire recommends at least 3". Go more if you wish as it won't hurt anything.

I don't have an SVS, but my DIY Tempest (the 15" version of the Shiva) sonosub has 4" legs with a base plate (driver and port on bottom cap).

The SVS looks less than 4". Probably anywhere between 2.5" to 4" will do though.

I went with the Adire-recommended 3" for my EBS Shiva sonosub.

Hello Phil, i have a 16-46cs+ sub and i measured
1-7/8 th's inches as length of the feet.

My Shiva tube and my Tempest box both have 4" of clearance.
