build a HT in a small room (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

I am looking to build a home theater in a small room (3m x 2m). I am looking to use inwall speakers (preferably 5.1). I am a bit concerned though at the audio reflections in such a small room.

Part of the setup I would like is a touch panel to control the HT system but also lighting, etc.

Any thoughts on the above? I read everybody here is into "big" speakers, but for the this size of a room, I am looking for small units....

The section below this one covers projects just like you are describing. Start reading because there is a LOT of information to cover.

If you are concerned about reflections, then treat to counteract them. There are even DIY sound absorption panels that you can put around the room. Cover them in fire resistant, color matched fabric and they can not only be functional but also decorative.

And with a room that small, you can easily get great bass response.
