Well to me widescreen is an improvement. It focuses the mind better. And on my widescreen tv it allows me to use the zoom option without knowing I might be missing bits of the picture.
I really prefer a 16:9 ratio loads and even find it hard to get used to 4:3 stuff, even when I know I'm not missing things. Darn!
