Quality is my main concern first (im sure it is with everyone here)

Can anyone throw me suggestions for budget friendly satellites ($1000 and under) for a basic high end 5.1 system.

looking 4 quality satellites with separate midrange speaker and tweeter. (not into single speaker satellites)

sorry guys but im relatively new to high end home audio/video. been looking around for a while now and just can't seem to see something that grabs my attention.

can anyone help me?

thanks and aloha everone

Do you already have a sub? If not this 5.1 system (with subwoofer) is the standard $1000 reply SVS Sound. Others to consider (with and without a sub) are Infinity, Polk, Axiom, AV123, Swan, Ascend Acoustics, HSU and many others. But if you need a sub, SVS and HSU are the most recommended.

i really like the svs system and have already been looking at that prior to making this thread. my only concern is will it be able to be used as a satellite? because i noticed its labeled bookshelf speakers...

the reason i want a satellite system is because this is for a bedroom setup and don't have the room for floor standing speakers systems.

thanks for the reply. aloha.

Well they certainly could be used as surrounds because they can be wall mounted. But if you feel they are still a bit too large then look at Definitive Technology's Pro Cinema 600 and 800. Also the HSU Performance 1 and Performance 2 systems designed for smaller rooms. And of course there are many others you should look at but these are a few of my favorites.
