Check it out in the Rumor Mill.

If this turns out to be true, it's about time a studio went all out for not only the first movie in a trilogy, but ALL the Movies.

That is great news. Hopefully it's true.
But damn, after looking thru the Upcoming DVD artwork, there are no movies coming out on my to-buy list until May.

Looks like I can save some money for a change, although it is a bit depressing.
    Peace Out~[IMG]

That all sounds cool to me. I wonder if the deleted scenes are just the scenes added to the TV version. It would be cool if these were different.

I wonder if the deleted scenes on the first one will be what everyone hopes......)

I just hope they are available separately - not only as a set like The Godfather was.

these are very generic specs. I won't count my chickens until there's an official press release. Even THEN I'm not going to hold my breath, what with the studios' recent trend of announcing commentary tracks before they're recorded.

My guess is that the first film will be released separately as the "trailer" on the film's web site had clips of the first film only.

Perhaps Parts II and III will be box set only?

Still keeping my fingers crossed. They should come out together as a box set.

If this is true, I will be delighted! I certainly hope that they're released in a box set. I'll buy the set on street date! [IMG]

Have the commentaries for these not been recorded yet? Any idea on who might be involved in those?

BTW-Star wars is actaully coming out in Dec 2006 - Dec 2010-one new DVD release of the trilogy each year. Starting with the Special Edition, followed by the "archival Edition" followed by the "Definitive Edition", then followed by the "Platinum Edidion" and finally culminating in the "Jewel-encrusted-limited-holo-foil-gatefold-chromium-plated-my-kids-have-to-go-to-college edition"

This, of course, will be followed by a similar waiting period for all hi-def releases, and the cycle will continue.
