Just picked up a used Bryston 3B 2channel [email protected] to drive my B&W602s2 as fronts.

Is this overkill? Or should I trade it in for a Rotel Amp. instead. Like the RB-1070, RB-1080, RB-1090, RMB-1066 or the RMB-1075?

And how much do you think I can get for the Bryston?

    Thanks,

    Jerry

I heard a similar setup a few weeks ago, although I am not sure of the Bryston amp model #. WOW! Those 602/S2's really sounded great with the Bryston!! I could not believe the imaging and detail out of a $600 pair of speakers! I went home with a big smile on my face, because I could just imagine my 602/S2's at home combo'd with that amp. I wouldn't hesitate to pair the two up. As far as being overkill, who's to say you won't upgrade your 602's sometime down the road to a higher model B&W? You would be kicking yourself then for passing it up.

If I had a shot at a used Bryston for a good price, I wouldn't hesitate.

    Go for it.

    Thanks Pete!

    Think I'll keep the Bryston.

I just might upgrade my speakers.

Whem I origionally bought my old 602s, they had a very expensive Theta hooked up, they sounded great.

Plus when you upgrade your speakers- you will already have a great amp.

I'm running my B&W 601's with a Bryston 9B and I would not go back. The Bryston is somethingI will be able to keep in my system for a long time through many upgrades. Congrats on your purchase.[IMG]
