Bruce Lee GAME OF DEATH Help Needed (1 Viewer)

I was watching AMC today and I saw a documentary (I think it was a documentary) featuring all of the existing fight scenes footage from Bruce Lee's GAME OF DEATH. I've been interested in getting a copy of the film in R1, but my question is --- are ALL of the fight sequences in the tower (with three different opponents on three levels of the temple) now completely intact on the recent editions of GAME OF DEATH?

I've heard that the original 1978 bastardized release of the movie only used some of this fight footage. I'd rather see these scenes inserted back into the film (all of it). Or is it only available on the documentary?

I believe the documentary is the first time the footage has ever seen shown adn there is no version with that footage reinserted as far as I know.

That documentary, A Warriors Journey,with reconstruction of Game of Death as Lee intended is available in R1,both as a stand alone DVD or as a extra on the rerelease of Enter The Dragon.

Too bad about the footage not being incorporated into the film somehow. I can't understand that, in this day and age.

You should check out Bruce Lee in G.O.D., which has all of the scenes that Bruce Lee was involved with, and none of the stuff that was added after he died. What they have around the scenes instead are interviews and re-enactments of what went on behind the scenes explaining what the movie was originally supposed to be about before it was bastardized.

Despite being a Japanese release, most of the dialog is in English, with some Chinese. (There's also a Japanese language track.)

There is also a "Special Edition" version of the DVD, which I have not seen and know nothing about except for its existence.

I highly recommend the "Enter The Dragon" 2 disc SE from R1. That doc with G.O.D. was one of the best things I've seen on Bruce, dealing pretty much with his Martial Arts as opposed to gossipy personal stuff.
