Bruce Cockburn SACD - anyone heard it? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone heard the new Bruce Cockburn greatest hits SACD? The CD sounds dreadful, the new songs have absolutely no life thanks to less than 1 dB dynamic range from compression. Many of the older tracks sound like total ass also.

Is the SACD an improvement?

Have not heard it but its a safe bet that it is better than the CD. There has been a lot of discussion on it at the Audio Asylum though.

I sent an email to Rounder asking if the SACD is from the same ultracompressed master as the CD.
