My friend's dad's subwoofer doesn't work. They said that when they would change a channel on the cable box it would make a loud thud. I was never over to hear it though. So what we tried to do was bring it to my house and see if the problem is the sub or the receiver. Our plan was to just unplug mine and plug it into his. So we set it up, plugged it in, and tried to play but it didn't work. I believe I have everything plugged in correctly. It can't be that hard. It's a Boston Acoustics PV800. We checked the fuse too. When I plug it in the green light is on, and when I insert the connector it makes a thud, so does mine. I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on what the problem might be. He'll probably end up taking it in for repair.
