    Hey Guys,

    I need a little help.

Saturday morning I went into my Theater tried to turn on my receiver.

The small light with tells me the receiver has power was not on.

I unplugged the receiver and tried a different plug, still no power.

    What could be the problem?
Has anyone had this problem before?

Does the receiver have a fuse you could check?

Not that I could see. I did not want to take the cover off, because it still under warranty.

Do you have a power console? I remember this happen to my one time after a power outtage at home, where all my other units hook up to the power console got power except my Amp. I have to turn on my power console in order to turn on my Amp again. I believe its a protection builtin to the power console to saved the amp, wher everything else its just a passive protection.

I'd call Denon, and then if they cant help you, Id call Monster.

If your denon had a fuse, I doubt it would be inside, it should be somewhere on the back. Have you looked through the manual?

Just thought you might be my buddy down in Arcadia California as he uses the same initial sometimes.

When you said you try an another plug to confirm its not working, do you mean another plug on the Monster surge protector or a wall outlet? If you havn't try the wall outlet when you might want to give it a try to confirm its the problem with Monster Surge or Denon. Once you have confirm the problem then you can take it back to the dealer to get it repair with the existing waranty.

Were any of your clocks blinking 12:00? Power outage or surge? Was everything else in the system OK? In any case, since you say it is under warranty, I'd check with the store you bought it from and see what they say about repair/return or even a replacement.

    Jim,

After a lightning storm my Yamaha R-VX2400 wouldnt power on because the protection circuit had activated. All I had to do was unplug it for a bit. Also, if you have any speaker wire touching at the posts or at the speakers the protection circuit can kick in. Hopefully you used banana plugs! Unplug everything and try again with no connections.

Man, are you prone to equipment issues or what? [IMG]
