Anyone else a fan of this great movie?

It only got a bare bones release. But, I'm wondering what type of stuff we could get on it if there where a special edition release? too bad Pryor can't do a commentary for it, and sadly no more John Candy either...

Yep. Folks seem to think that the new one is "special". It's not (just anamorphic):
Old, discountinued Goodtimes-released barebones '98 edition:

    New, active Universal-released still-unspecial '02 edition:

Not really sure what supplements to give it, though, to make it special. Oh, well...the film's fun enough as-is.

after that joke of a transfer on the goodtimes version, just having a watchable version sounds special enough to me.

not sure why so many people were down on this film. i think it's a lot of fun. one of my happier childhood memories was seeing this at the cinema.

did john candy or richard pryor ever do a laser disc commentary for this film ?

I don't want to be a thread-crapper, but I'm just too flabbergasted for words right now.
Brewster's Millions has had two DVD release and Silver Streak still doesn't have one?
Stop the world, I want to get off.
