1978 was a great Summer for movies. I can't believe Paramount hasn't released these two hit films yet!

These do seem like no brainers for the Paramount Presents line. I doubt Criterion would do them so it would be logical if Paramount put them out themselves. The same goes for Catch 22, I'd love to see that from Criterion, that would be my first choice, but this line from Paramount also makes perfect sense for a release of the picture. Also perfect for the Paramount Presents line would be the fantastic western Will Penny.

I have the "Region B" release blu-ray for which the I beleive the film plays fine in Region A- except the special features which I believe are PAL and won't play at all ...

You are correct on both points. The disc is region free, but the special features are in PAL, and won't play unless your player can convert them to NTSC.

Rather than recycling previously released titles, I'd much prefer Paramount films that haven't seen any prior DVD or blu ray release like:

Birds And The Bees (1956)
Buster Keaton Story (1957)
The Girl Rush (1955)
Hell's Island (1955)
Here Come The Girls (1953)
Hot Spell (1958)
The Joker Is Wild (1957)
Lucy Gallant (1955)
My Six Loves (1963)
Omar Khayyam (1957)
Proud And The Profane (1956)
Pleasure Of His Company (1961)
The Rat Race (1960)
The Sad Sack (1957)
September Affair (1950)
That Certain Feeling (1956)
Three Ring Circus (1954)
Wild Is The Wind (1957)
