Brazil: CC layer change problems? (1 Viewer)

I picked up my copy of Brazil: CC about six months ago, but I didn't get around to watching my copy of the actual film (disc one) until this past weekend. To my dismay, it constantly freezes up at the layer change. I have a Toshiba SD-4700. Is there a known problem, or is this just a bad disc I got in my set?

It is not a known problem according to the Criterion WEB site known problems.

If I were you, I’d report this via their site.

Just saw it again(third time) on my portable dvd player...
no problem( also have seen it on Denon and Sony dvd).

It's never been the smoothest of layer changes for me, but it has never actually frozen up . . . yet.

I have the same problem with a Toshiba 3750. It won't go past the layer change. I even tried exchanging it to no avail.
