I bought Brain Candy but haven't had time to watch it yet. I know I should be thankful it's on DVD, but how can Paramount say it has "Special Features" when there aren't any, not even a trailer?

I had read that all the Kids were happy to do a commentary but say they were never asked. Hopefully someday Paramount will do a truly Special Edition.

What do you mean there aren't any special features? It has English subtitles, menus, and scene selection for crying out loud!

On a more serious note, anyone want a stummy?

Although the theatrical prints of this didn't have any digital soundtracks on them, the laserdisc did have a 5.1 Dolby track anyway which is pretty good.

Who needs special features when you get:
    - 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
    - English DD 5.1 and 2.0
    - French DD 2.0
    - Interactive Menus
    - Chapter Selections
    - English Subtitles
    - Full Color Disc Art (Not listed on packaging)
And remember, the special features are not rated.

I am sorry to hear this, but just in case it fell under
anyone's radar, the Kids In The Hall "concert/road" film,
    Same Guys, New Dresses
    is available on DVD
and it features a commentary with "the kids" and
"guest commentators" like Andy Richter, Mike Myers,
Jason Priestly, Matt Stone, and Trey Parker.
I have been too busy to check it out in detail,
but what I have seen, I have enjoyed.

Same Guys is not 1.33:1. It's letterboxed to ~1.78:1. For whatever reason, the feature itself isn't in anamorphic widescreen, though several of the deleted scenes are. Go figure.

A commentary would have been perfect for this film and I'm sure a laugh riot. Paramount blew a great opportunity.

I concur.... there at least should have been a trailer. BTW, i think that that the prints of the film had Dolby SR-D on them... Although i've never seen a piece of the actual film to back that claim up.
P.S. the KITH Season Box Sets On DVD Petition is still going stong... hopefully, with any luck, we'll hear some good news on that soon.

If any movie SCREAMED for a commentary, it is this one [IMG] But oh well, I am just happy to have the movie on DVD in it's OAR (I had the VHS copy ).
Now if they would only put out season sets!

Does anyone have or know anyone with connections to the Kids or their managment? If it's true that the guys themselves would be interested in doing a commentary, there could be a way to do it anyway and bring attention to the whole issue.
