Cool beans about COLUMBINE. My wife is a high school teacher and intends on showing it in all of her classes. It's a thoughtful and entertaining film, no matter which way your beliefs blow.

She works at a Catholic school and can make her own curriculum. Ain't it cool? Plus, the film is a dubious R at best.

If you haven't seen it, SEE IT. It is an awesome and frighteningly real picture of America. REALLY GOOD.

Oh, I totally agree on the rating. I'd give it a PG. You can't see anything in those security tapes and that's the whole reason for the R

While I will be picking it up on the 22nd, I would also warn not to buy into everything Moore throws at you. While I am a fan of the man and his work, he is quickly becoming everything he once railed against.

For a man continually speaking on the evils of capitalism, he had no qualms taking that 7 figure book deal from Warner after "Stupid White Men" hit the number one spot on the bestseller list, nor did he seem to have any hesitance in moving himself and his wife into a 1.6 million dollar apartment in NY. He likes to talk like he is defender of the common man, but in the end he really wants to be one of the "stupid white men".

I enjoy his work, and it is for the most part thought provoking ("Bowling" is one of the best flicks I saw last year), but he keeps getting more and more of the "I am right and if you don't share my opinion you are stupid." attitude, all the while lining his pockets with large chunks of change from the mega-capitalists he supposedly hates.

Now now. Let's not turn this into a Moore-bashing thread. There are obviously those who will never watch a film made by the man and others who are really glad he's around. Let's all be friends now, shall we?

Please limit your discussion about Michael Moore as a documentarian; there is a thread in Movies about Bolwing for Columbine where you can take the man to task all you want.

Now, about that 5.1 DD track. Is there much surround-sound action in this documentary?

I am pre-ordering today. Thanks, Patrick, for the heads up.

I don't think I've ever seen anything else by Michael Moore but I thought Bowling was a very engaging experience. It's very clear that arguments are pretty one-sided but I think it succeeded in giving everyone something to think about.

Basically, I thought the film presented a variety of truth and bias, but basically left the audience to sort it out. I'm sure I'll be picking this one up when it arrives.

I don't care how big his house is, it didn't change my perception of the film.

I hope these specs are incomplete because I know I've read that Michael Moore wanted to include the complete Heston interview on the DVD to show that his editing didn't change the tone of what was said.

Thanks for all the info Patrick & Jeff.
