It might be it’s out of stock at the VABC stores. And none of the online liquors stores can sell in Virginia.

So I do recall buying it at the Costco off NY Ave in North DC. Don't know if that is closer and who knows if its always in stock there

Strong stuff. 101 proof. Burns at the finish.

Never been a big bourbon drinker. I used to drink quite a bit of scotch in my 20s but I got tired of the way it made me feel the next day so I stopped. It’s just beer and the occasional mojito or margarita now.

My friends daughter saw this in Costco, Mobile Alabama. I was shocked because I didn’t think they stocked such high end liquor. Yeah it’s cognac, but at Costco?

Do bourbons have to be made in KY or TN?

Koenig makes good wines but I've also liked their Plum Brandy, a local Slivovitz @ 84 proof.
The guy who ran the Boone County distillery tour said 49 of the 50 states make Bourbon (Hawaii is the only state that doesn’t do Bourbon). The tour guide said Bourbon has to be at least 51% corn mash, and be aged in oak barrels.

This is not being produced or sold by the Bourbon County distillery right now. Aged 12 years, 90.4 proof. I assume this is a very limited release- goes for over $700/750 ml bottle online now. A little smoother than their regular white label. Good news is the bar told me they will hold the empty bottle for me.
