boston VR vs CR (1 Viewer)

just won a contest at work and am getting 900.00 gift cert for tweeter and was thinking of getting 2 more pairs of the cr75 to complete my 7.1 setup ( as i have cr75s as my mains) but i do have a vr910 center and am considering going with the vr60 mains and 1 more pair of cr75s for the rear surrounds would this setup sound ok? I realize that the tweeters on the mains match but i liked the vr center much beter than the cr center. i guess my main question is should i stick with all cr75's or upgrade the mains to match the VR center and will mixing vr mains with cr surrounds sound ok?

I am not sure if you have heard yet or not, but Tweeter has dropped the Boston Acoustics lines of speakers.
They are picking up Polk.

I have a 6.1 setup that I built in March that uses 4-CR-75's and two CRC's. I just went to Tweeter this past weekend to try and take them up on their upgrade policy to get me moved into a 7.1 set of VR's. They are now moving me towards the Polk LSi series.

Keep me informed as to your progress.

i was not aware but thanks for the info. do you know if they are going to have them on clearence? if not mabey i will upgrade my receiver with the credit

I see we are replying to each others threads.
The guys at Tweeter seem pretty liberal. My method is to keep them talking until you get what you want.
