Bose 901 repairs (1 Viewer)

I have a buddy who has a pair of Bose 901s that he found the the basement of the frat where he lives and one of them is dead, i am suspecting blown drivers with gone surrounds, So i was wondering where i could locate some replacements, and seeing that i am only doing one i don't think he wants to sink the money into replacing the drivers on both of them, with another variant, such as dayton.

I haven't even seen the speaker, or know a whole lot about the 901s so i might just be a bad fuse, if it has any, or a component on the XO is bad so i will have to take a look at it, but i just want to get an idea if the drivers are bad if i can get some replacements.

Also seeing he is a poor college kid like my self he wants to walk away with the most amount of cash in his pockets.

If you do a search for "BOSE 901 Repair" on Google, a whole bunch of crap will come up. There are a bunch of foam surround kits for the 901 that are not too expensive. If you have some blown drivers, things will get expensive. The cheapest price I have ever seen for new 901 drivers is $49. Here are some websites for ya, good luck.

yeah i did a few searches and i heard that the surrounds are hard to get and it takes a few to get it right so i will see if those $49 one will do the trick.

Also i might be tempedt to look at something cheaper but i will see what the full situations is latter on this week
