Anybody seen any announcement for the next wave of Fox noirs? "Boomerang" may well be included there unless that rights problem is an insurmountabe one.

Assuming that you want it bad enough, the copies on eBay have dropped down to reasonable prices (for an OOP title anyway).

I snagged a copy for a reasonable price and can find absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Many months later ... looks like a rumored Boomerang widespread release is just that.

The film title is listed on the Fox website along with three other titles for their film noir series ( Daisy Kenyon-dir. Otto Preminger, USA 1947; Dangerous Crossing-dir. Joseph Newman, USA 1953; and Black Widow-dir. Nunnally Johnson, USA 1954.) It should be released in January of February of 2008. The hold up was due rights issues in the US. The film was released in Canada, where there were no problems and was sent out to US stores before the recall. Many of the stores ignored the recall.

You sure it was released in Canada? Amazon.ca never had it for shipping (I had it on a pre-order 2 months before street), and I never saw it in the stores, despite all the other titles from that wave being in.

i got itfrom netflix on release week.

i would still have it but it vanishes out of my house somehow.

its been on the fox website since at least august with the three new titles listed. I don't expect any of them to see the light of day until at least February or march
