Book shelf B & W speakers anything better for less? (1 Viewer)

I’m considering getting the book shelf B &W 706 2S speakers. However, is there’s one that is equal or better that gives these a run for their money?

I would give the ELAC Uni-Fi Reference UBR62 an evaluation. In the same league, at the least, for quite a bit less.

With B&W you're paying a lot for the B&W name and the expensive finish. Finish doesn't make the speakers sound any better.

A friend recommended Elac Ub 65, what are your thoughts?

These speakers will be upfront Replacing my infinity front speakers.
What do think of buying 2 more for my surround speakers-buying a lower model Elac to save money ( I have small infinity speakers for surround sounds now Or should I keep them for now and get Elac center channel ?

If you’re replacing your front left and right speakers with Elacs, you would be better served to also replace your center channel with the matching Elac and use your current surrounds for now. When finances allow, consider upgrading them to Elacs as well.

I see the Elac center channel are hugomonus 24 inches in width, my cabinet is 16 inches in width. Any good alternative size wise
