Bonds has done a great job this year. He has proven once and for all that he is the best player in the game over the past 15 years and one of the 10 best all time. I look on his acomplishment this year as one far superior to McGwire's. Bonds is actually in a pennant race not to mention the pitchers are pitching around him. It was a joke some of the grapefruits served up for McGwire during his run. That being said, I still can't stnad Bonds but a man deserves congratulations when in order.

Well they finally had the balls to pitch to him. I think his feat is even more amazing given the fact that he also set the record for walks in a season. Props to Barry Bonds (and this is coming from a Dodger fan). [IMG]

I don't follow baseball anymore, but congrats to Mr. Bonds! That's an amazing achievement!

He thought on homeland, the big timber, the air thin and chill all the year long. Tulip poplars so big through the trunk they put you in mind of locomotives set on end. He thought of getting home and building him a cabin on Cold Mountain so high that not a soul but the nighthawks passing across the clouds in autumn could hear his sad cry. Of living a life so quiet he would not need ears. And if Ada would go with him, there might be the hope, so far off in the distance he did not even really see it, that in time his despair might be honed off to a point so fine and thin that it would be nearly the same as vanishing.
