I agree - if the producers had trusted Paul Haggis to finish it, instead of throwing it back to Purvis and Wade, I think it could have been extraordinary in that rare way that OHMSS ended up being.

Yeah. I have read about how troubled QoS was throughout its production, but some elements work super well. I absolutely LOVE the final scene of the film, but felt that the film didn’t quite earn it. I think if OHMSS had a worthy revengeful follow up, that such a scene would have worked amazing in its conclusion.

quantum and Skyfall are my favorites of the Craig films. i like quantum’s tight 2 hour run time and it’s artistic style.

Quantum feels very violent to me. I don’t actually know that it is objectively more violent than the other films but I feel the brutality of the violence when I watch it.

Given that the next movie's going to be at least partially a reboot, with a new actor in the role, I really hope this movie embraces the fact that it's an ending, in the same way that Casino Royale was a beginning. After the loose chronology of the Connery through Brosnan eras, it'd be nice if Craig's Bond is allowed to complete his journey from beginning to end.

My problem with Quantum of Solace is that it feels like Casino Royale 1.5. It's the kind of story that Bond gets into between movies. The whole movie basically just ties up the dangling threads from Casino Royale.
Agreed, I always watch them back to back, they're like one, long, movie to me.
But one long good movie.

My wife and I have been watching a James Bond movie every week since October. This weekend will be Tomorrow Never Dies. Getting excited that we are almost to Daniel Craig!

I started doing that shortly after buying the iTunes collection.

Got to THE SPY WHO LOVED ME and just stopped.

My fear is the 80s Bond films which I don't remember being very good.

I will pick up on this again at some point but right now I am littering my digital account with new downloads.

moonraker looks fantastic in 4K. Saw it on Amazon Prime when they were in there late last year.

I have $ set aside now and I am ready to buy the older 007 films on UHd Blu Ray. Wish there would be some confirmation or news.
I know that the digital versions are available but I want the discs and the digital copies.
I also believe the discs will have HDR.

Why he says it could be the final chapter for Daniel Craig? Since it's an official video, it either is or not. Especially that the director himself should know how he ended his movie!
