blurred/ green tinted image during dark scenes (1 Viewer)

Howdy folks-

I've assembled the core of my first HT system. All's well so far except that images become rather pixelated and blurred during dark scenes (eg, scenes that take place at night, have fog or rain). The images also have a lot of green in them. Not a green blur, but invidual components that are lighter in color appear green. I've tried adjusting the various picture controls on the TV, but no luck. All of the connections are sound, and this problem happens from both the DVD and XboX. I haven't hooked up broadcast television, nor will I for this set. (yet).

Here are the components:

TV Sony Wega-KVFS100
Receiver- Sony STR-DE685
DVD/CD- DVP-S560D
Microsoft XboX

All in/out connections are made with component video. Thanks for your anticipated help

I would suggest playing with the picture controls again. I had this problem and when I calibrated my TV it improved signifigantly. Try using avia to calibrate and see if it helps.
